The round for September has closed — here are our results:

In first place:

Team Ifrit, with 90 points total (0 points this month)

In third place:


Team Ramuh, with 30 points total (0 points this month)

There are no new works this month, which means points are unchanged from August! There's still time for Team Ramuh to make a comeback, or for Team Ifrit to overtake Team Shiva!

October/November - Minor Characters & Songfics!

Administrative Bits

• If you haven't yet chosen your team, make sure you sign up here, on the 2013 roster, if you want your work to count for points!
• Confused? Need a refresher on the rules? Wondering how to post? Get more information about Chocobo Racing here.
• You can browse and fill the Chocobo Down list at any time!

Bonus Theme
For the next month and a half our bonus theme is Minor Characters & Songfics Month! Do you have a favorite non-main-party character? Do you have a favorite song you've been aching to apply to your favorite characters? This is the month for you!

You can:

• Create fanwork about your favorite minor characters! We're being broad and defining this as characters not in the main party.


• Create fanwork using your favorite songs. Although we have specified "fics" here for our songfics theme, we would love to see some creative, non-textual interpretations of this theme. "Songwork" dpes sound a little odd! Any vidders out there? ;)


• It's fine to choose one theme or the other — there's no requirement to combine them! All your songfics about main party characters and regular work about minor characters are awesome!

If you have any questions, please leave them on this post!

How will the scoring go?

• Any work that fits the theme of Minor Characters & Songfics will receive 10 points.
• Any work that doesn't fit the Minor Characters & Songfics theme, but is submitted in Minor Characters & Songfics, will still receive 5 points.
• For an extra 5 points on top of the bonus points for our two themes, you can create fanwork featuring songfics featuring minor characters. Good luck. ;)
• Remember that you have to be signed up for a team before you post your work in order to get points!

What if there isn't anything in the Chocobo Down Database that I want to create for? What if I want to ask for something else?
We'll open an entry for new prompts at the end of this week. This way everybody can look through our official unfilled prompt list first and get started there, before we generate new prompts.

Some reminders for this round:

• Please include the prompt you are filling somewhere when you post your work!
• Since the mods can't guarantee we have the time to look at every work ourselves, please make sure you label your work appropriately, so that we know who gets bonus points and who doesn't!
