ffexchange_modAnother year, another great round of the DOINK! Chocobo Races! We wrapped things up with another exciting Kiss Battle, and the turnout was fantastic! We had a lot of new players turn up in February, and we couldn't be more thrilled at how many prompts were made and filled, all in the name of smoochin'. If you're looking for something to read in the coming weeks, check out the 44 works in the 2013 Chocobo Down AO3 collection or peruse the 566 comments on the 2013 Kissing Battle (67 of which are fills!). Congratulations and thanks to everyone who has contributed along the way. This has been a wonderful year!
Now without further ado, onto the Chocobo Races results...!
2014 Kiss Battle Winner: Team Ifrit
The members of Team Ifrit brought in 70 points this February, giving them a total of 190 points for the Races overall. Awesome work, Ifrit!
But it turned out to be a very close race, because...
2013 Chocobo Races Overall Winner: Team Shiva
With 200 points total, Shiva takes home the gold this year! They contributed 35 points to the Kiss Battle, which was just enough to keep them at the top overall. What an exciting race!
Not to be forgotten, of course, Team Ramuh made some great contributions as well throughout the year and during the Kiss Battle, and we thank you all for your participation!
And a Most Honorable Mention goes to... all of the independent players who joined us for the Kiss Battle this year! We had an amazing turnout, and a whopping 44 Kisses were contributed by the newcomers. We hope you had as much fun playing this year as we did reading your works, and we hope you'll be interested in joining a team next year! You could really swing the races!
So thanks again to everyone who participated, and congratulations to Team Shiva! Enjoy that victory fanfare!
