RULES

This year, we're creating Master Links for each fandom. When leaving prompts, please put it under the right canon! If in a compilation canon, please leave the important details!

To leave a prompt: leave one prompt per comment, with FANDOM: CHARACTERS/RELATIONSHIP in the subject line and your prompt in the body.

To leave a fill: reply to the comment in question. Please use the subject line of your comment to label your work: TITLE (if relevant), FANDOM, CHARACTERS/RELATIONSHIP, RATING (ANY KINKS, WARNINGS, FLAGS).

There should be kissing! All kinds of kisses are welcome: gen, shippy, smutty, chaste, familial, friendly, angry, happy! We’re pretty open to anything you want to call kissing. We are fans of all of it.

Fanart, fanfiction, drabbles, doodles, live action movies -- whatever you want to supply, we’d like to have it.

Be kind to others regarding character or ship choices and prompts. This should be fun for everyone!

Prompt early, prompt often, and leave as many as you want.

Prompts can be filled multiple times!

To leave a blitzkrieg kiss: If you have something but no one has prompted it yet, blitzkiss away! Just reply to the comment for your fandom, and make sure you use the subject line to label your work.

FINAL FANTASY KISS BATTLE 2013

We will be running the Kissing Battle on Dreamwidth only. There are two main reasons for this: 1) Dreamwidth’s comment limit is huge, allowing for longer kissing masterpieces; and 2) Dreamwidth still supports subject lines for comments, which are vital to a meme like the Kiss Battle. However, the Battle is open to everyone. Feel free to participate with your Dreamwidth (account creation is invite-free right now~!), your Livejournal or other OpenID account (see here if you want to set up an OpenID), or anonymously.

Caught off guard.

"Don't be absurd"

"Don't tell me you haven't thought about it."

"You have something of mine," Balthier says, all suave and smooth confidence. He takes a step forward, holding out a hand.

Locke takes a step back, a smirk playing across his lips. "I don't know what you're talking about." The ring -- a plain platinum band -- grows warm in his fist. He keeps both hands behind his back.

"I think you do," Balthier says, and he comes closer.

Locke backs up into the wall. Nowhere to go, now -- except if he turned and ran. That would mean admitting guilt. More importantly, it would mean turning his back on Balthier. "It's not yours," Locke says.

Balthier smiles. "It's not yours, either."

"So it's no one's. Seems to me like it's ripe for the taking."

"And you took it."

Balthier is right in front of him now; Locke has to look up at him. "And you want it back."

"No, that's not what I want."

And Locke knows now, he knows -- but he makes Balthier work for it. "Then why are you pestering me?"

Balthier leans over, planting one hand against the wall on either side of Locke's head. When he speaks, Locke can feel the warmth of his breath. "Because I want you to know that I know you stole it." He licks his bottom lip. "You th--"

Locke kisses him before he can say the word.

“How could you?”

In the stifled silence of the room, the crackle of candles burning their wicks was unbearably loud. His voice, softened, felt unwelcome.

“Where is your Champion? Where is the Faerie Queen? Where are your Warriors of Prophecy? Where are they all?” He shook his head, tousled mane rippling against his shoulders. “We’re, all of us, dead without you.”

“You said I was different.” He leaned over the bed, pleading. “You said I could change everything.” He retreated, scorned. “How am I supposed to...?”

“How could you how could you how dare you?”

The sound of his voice echoed in his ears. No one came running to the bedchamber. The figure on the bed lay deathly still. Dead, dead, dead.

Dead but sleeping.

Sleeping but dead.

The lilt of stanzas marched through his mind. That Conerian liked to sing it, in harsh and deepened tones as she sharpened her sword in the courtyard during the summer. A queen dead, in a castle of thorns, awoken by the kiss of a knightly king.

The words tumbled gracefully from his tongue in a prayer. Leaning down, he pressed his lips against the sleeping prince’s own, and brushed away the tears that fell irreverently upon his face.

Nothing happened.

Nothing changed.

The darkened Orb had spent untold years on a pedestal in the throne room. Wrapping it in a shirt, he shoved it into his knapsack, before the guards could return, and disappeared into the morning twilight.

Because it always ends so well.

Hero.

Remember me.

"Then as the resident healer, I declare it a medical emergency. It's all right," he says to the elven guards. "I'm a white mage."

I want to be forgiven.

You can feel the magic under her skin, warm and bright and singing in her veins, as you take her hand.

It's like yours, and yet very much unlike it, because yours has always felt unnatural, like wearing a mask made of ice over your entire body. Terra's magic is very warm and very much alive, and it shows in her face and the glow of her skin. She is bright, though she never smiles.

She feels feverishly hot to your touch. When you kiss her - her hand or her cheek or her lips - you wonder how you feel to her. Are you like a block of ice? Is she afraid that her magic will melt you, if she stays too close for too long?

You're not sure. But she does, at least, smile sometimes when you're near her, and she doesn't shy away from you... and when you kiss her, she kisses you back. She is certainly not afraid of melting you with her kisses.
