2013 KISS BATTLE!
RULES
- This year, we're creating Master Links for each fandom. When leaving prompts, please put it under the right canon! If in a compilation canon, please leave the important details!
- To leave a prompt: leave one prompt per comment, with FANDOM: CHARACTERS/RELATIONSHIP in the subject line and your prompt in the body.
- To leave a fill: reply to the comment in question. Please use the subject line of your comment to label your work: TITLE (if relevant), FANDOM, CHARACTERS/RELATIONSHIP, RATING (ANY KINKS, WARNINGS, FLAGS).
- There should be kissing! All kinds of kisses are welcome: gen, shippy, smutty, chaste, familial, friendly, angry, happy! We’re pretty open to anything you want to call kissing. We are fans of all of it.
- Fanart, fanfiction, drabbles, doodles, live action movies -- whatever you want to supply, we’d like to have it.
- Be kind to others regarding character or ship choices and prompts. This should be fun for everyone!
- Prompt early, prompt often, and leave as many as you want.
- Prompts can be filled multiple times!
- To leave a blitzkrieg kiss: If you have something but no one has prompted it yet, blitzkiss away! Just reply to the comment for your fandom, and make sure you use the subject line to label your work.
- Be sure to check back often -- new kissing action could be showing up everywhere!
- Spread the word! Tell your friends!

FINAL FANTASY KISS BATTLE 2013
We will be running the Kissing Battle on Dreamwidth only. There are two main reasons for this: 1) Dreamwidth’s comment limit is huge, allowing for longer kissing masterpieces; and 2) Dreamwidth still supports subject lines for comments, which are vital to a meme like the Kiss Battle. However, the Battle is open to everyone. Feel free to participate with your Dreamwidth (account creation is invite-free right now~!), your Livejournal or other OpenID account (see here if you want to set up an OpenID), or anonymously.
Have fun! Get smoochin'!

Besides that, she had no qualms against working her way to the top. The captain of the ship was nothing to scoff at when he walked in the door, sharp-eyed, quite handsome, and cast of willowy grace. Why he chose to huddle in the back of the tavern was beyond her, but it was there she approached him as he pored over old maps.
But Isabela’s tenuous plans fell through; the captain took one look at her and turned her down.
Perhaps she oughtn’t have been surprised. But there was more than one way to rise through the ranks, and she had no scruples when it came to insurrection.
Isabela put her charm to work, at first to which he bluntly ignored. The crew, though loyal, was not so unmalleable to her efforts. When at long last she caught him slyly watching her at a distance as she dallied with his first mate, Isabela decided it was high time to try again.
The time was right at midday. It was then that he stood on the pier, alone, back against the lamppost, staring out to sea. This day, he had his back to the sea; instead, he brazenly watched her approach down the road from the township.
“Have I changed your mind yet?”
The captain grinned, grim and sharklike. “Hardly.”
“Oh?” Isabela laughed, “I must have imagined your attention drifting my way.” Her palm came to rest on his cheek; his smile faded, and his chin raised in a challenge. “Or do you merely like to watch?”
His lips were soft, more so than she would have imagined. The rest of his mouth would remain a mystery as Isabela stumbled back, flatly shoved away.
The captain ground the back of his hand against his mouth, a pointed disparagement of her efforts. He pulled a pipe from the depths of his longcoat and lit it with a spark of magic, not a match, all the while meeting her quizzical stare with an air of disdain.
Men, in Isabela’s experience, were easy to twist. Not all, but those that weren’t were still easy to read. She squinted at the Captain’s bearing, regal and sinuous, and the curve of his jaw, and gasped at what she hadn’t seen.
“You’re not a man.”
The puff of pungent pipe smoke that struck her face might have been the remnants of a snicker. “And y’ain’t no pirate.”
