2013 KISS BATTLE!

Final Fantasy Kissing Battle 2013

RULES
  • This year, we're creating Master Links for each fandom. When leaving prompts, please put it under the right canon! If in a compilation canon, please leave the important details!

  • To leave a prompt: leave one prompt per comment, with FANDOM: CHARACTERS/RELATIONSHIP in the subject line and your prompt in the body.

  • To leave a fill: reply to the comment in question. Please use the subject line of your comment to label your work: TITLE (if relevant), FANDOM, CHARACTERS/RELATIONSHIP, RATING (ANY KINKS, WARNINGS, FLAGS).

  • There should be kissing! All kinds of kisses are welcome: gen, shippy, smutty, chaste, familial, friendly, angry, happy! We’re pretty open to anything you want to call kissing. We are fans of all of it.

  • Fanart, fanfiction, drabbles, doodles, live action movies -- whatever you want to supply, we’d like to have it.

  • Be kind to others regarding character or ship choices and prompts. This should be fun for everyone!

  • Prompt early, prompt often, and leave as many as you want.

  • Prompts can be filled multiple times!

  • To leave a blitzkrieg kiss: If you have something but no one has prompted it yet, blitzkiss away! Just reply to the comment for your fandom, and make sure you use the subject line to label your work.

  • Be sure to check back often -- new kissing action could be showing up everywhere!

  • Spread the word! Tell your friends!

FINAL FANTASY KISS BATTLE 2013

We will be running the Kissing Battle on Dreamwidth only. There are two main reasons for this: 1) Dreamwidth’s comment limit is huge, allowing for longer kissing masterpieces; and 2) Dreamwidth still supports subject lines for comments, which are vital to a meme like the Kiss Battle. However, the Battle is open to everyone. Feel free to participate with your Dreamwidth (account creation is invite-free right now~!), your Livejournal or other OpenID account (see here if you want to set up an OpenID), or anonymously.

Have fun! Get smoochin'!

It would be different, not being on top. But if her options were signing on to a ship afresh or no ship at all, then hireling she would be.

Besides that, she had no qualms against working her way to the top. The captain of the ship was nothing to scoff at when he walked in the door, sharp-eyed, quite handsome, and cast of willowy grace. Why he chose to huddle in the back of the tavern was beyond her, but it was there she approached him as he pored over old maps.

But Isabela’s tenuous plans fell through; the captain took one look at her and turned her down.

Perhaps she oughtn’t have been surprised. But there was more than one way to rise through the ranks, and she had no scruples when it came to insurrection.

Isabela put her charm to work, at first to which he bluntly ignored. The crew, though loyal, was not so unmalleable to her efforts. When at long last she caught him slyly watching her at a distance as she dallied with his first mate, Isabela decided it was high time to try again.

The time was right at midday. It was then that he stood on the pier, alone, back against the lamppost, staring out to sea. This day, he had his back to the sea; instead, he brazenly watched her approach down the road from the township.

“Have I changed your mind yet?”

The captain grinned, grim and sharklike. “Hardly.”

“Oh?” Isabela laughed, “I must have imagined your attention drifting my way.” Her palm came to rest on his cheek; his smile faded, and his chin raised in a challenge. “Or do you merely like to watch?”

His lips were soft, more so than she would have imagined. The rest of his mouth would remain a mystery as Isabela stumbled back, flatly shoved away.

The captain ground the back of his hand against his mouth, a pointed disparagement of her efforts. He pulled a pipe from the depths of his longcoat and lit it with a spark of magic, not a match, all the while meeting her quizzical stare with an air of disdain.

Men, in Isabela’s experience, were easy to twist. Not all, but those that weren’t were still easy to read. She squinted at the Captain’s bearing, regal and sinuous, and the curve of his jaw, and gasped at what she hadn’t seen.

“You’re not a man.”

The puff of pungent pipe smoke that struck her face might have been the remnants of a snicker. “And y’ain’t no pirate.”

Give Up Control (FFVIII, Quistis/Xu, NSFW)

[personal profile] wallwalker 2013-02-07 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
(Contains: magic-assisted BDSM.)

The dark cloud surrounds you, and you gasp as you breathe in, feeling your arms and legs stiffen. Everything is black now, and all you can feel is the dampness of the mist against your bare skin.

The first time you did this - at your insistence - you were afraid, although you hid it well behind a mask of impatience. Your mind raced - spurred on by the effects of the magic - and your heart pounded in your chest. All you could do was wiggle your fingers and toes, and when Quistis spoke to you it was as if she had spoken from a great distance away. But the panic passed soon enough, and now you've done this often enough that you've become somewhat accustomed to it. Your heart pounds now, but only with anticipation.

"Xu? Are you all right?" Her voice echoes in your ears. It would seem an odd question to anyone who might see you, but you're used to it, by now. This was what you wanted, a way to give up your constant urge to control, to stop commanding and allow yourself to simply feel.

You tap your fingers against the bed. It's the only way that you have to communicate, and it works well enough, as a signal. You've created a complicated pattern that serves as a safeword, although you've yet to need to use it. Quistis insisted upon it in the first place; she was so terrified of hurting you, afraid that she wouldn't be able to exert enough control over her powers to prevent the toxic Marlboro venom from seeping into the darkness.

You've both learned a bit since then, but she still insists on making sure that you're all right before she touches you. You feel the light touch of her lips against your skin as she kisses your neck, each one amplified by the loss of your sight and the subtle twisting of your mind into something entirely new and different.

You can't moan, or lean into her touches. The magic has taken that away from you. But your fingers dig into the sheets beside you, and your breathing quickens as her mouth moves from your neck to the light curve of your breasts, and the soft moan she makes in her own throat assures you that she knows exactly what that means.

Got Weird: FFI: Jim+Kope+Robot, G

[personal profile] stealth_noodle 2013-02-08 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
"More Potato Salad?" the robot asked. It hadn't quite got the hang of serving yet; its pincers were smeared with wasted food.

"No," Jim replied sourly, in the same moment that Kope said, "Please!"

The robot looked back and forth between them, then continued ruining the contents of the picnic basket.

"We could have just left it there," Jim pointed out, again. "I wanted to leave it there."

"Don't be ridiculous." Kope set his hands on either side of the robot's square head as he added, "And don't talk about him that way. He's sensitive."

"He's a bloody overgrown mine cart, is what he is."

The robot leaned toward Kope to whisper, which it completely lacked the vocal control to accomplish. "There Is A Human Expression: 'Two Is Company, Three Is A Crowd.'"

"I don't believe this." Jim got to his feet, crumbs tumbling out of his beard. "I'll be in Onrac when you're finished with this foolishness."

"Well, fine!" Kope shouted after him. "We'll have more fun without you, anyway!"

As he tucked grumpily into a mangled sandwich, the robot scooted closer to him until its primary propulsion device rested against his leg. "We Will Have More Fun Without Him," it agreed. "He Was A Third Wheel On A Symmetrical And Balanced Wheeled Unit."

"Whouff goo—" Kope swallowed. "Wouldn't go that far. Jim just needs some time to get used to you."

The robot pressed uncomfortably close. "We Will Have More Fun Without Him," it insisted, before jamming its cold faceplate against Kope's cheek. Something rattled rapidly in its internal workings. Its pincers rested on his thigh.

Kope froze mid-chew. After a moment's panicked paralysis, he leapt up and took off for Onrac at a run, spitting bits of sandwich.

"Jim!" he howled. "Come back! It got weird!"

FFX, Jecht/Auron, PG

[personal profile] regann 2013-02-08 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
"Hey Auron! Come on! It's nice!"

They don't have time for this, but it's not like that's ever stopped Jecht before, Auron notes to himself. The other guard is standing waist-deep in the bright waters that lap at the Besaid coastline, idly tossing a blitzball between his hands. Auron isn't sure where Jecht has gotten the ball, although he supposes any of the shiny-eyed young boys who have gathered to listen to him boast about his former career might've had one to lend him. Lord Braska is on the pier, waiting for the next ship while he speaks in quiet tones to one of the elder priests.

Auron, too, was waiting quietly -- not making a fool of himself like someone else he could speak of. He turns away from Jecht, from his sun-darkened bare chest and white-flash smile, instead letting his eyes rest on his summoner who manages to look both unperturbed by the balmy heat despite his ceremonial garb.

Then something knocks into the back of his head. Auron doesn't even need to turn and glare out across the water to know that it was the ball Jecht held; he doesn't need to turn to see the unrepentant grin, either, but he does and even in his annoyance, he can be amazed by the life in Jecht, the one that always reminds him that his friend is from another world. Sin has long since taken that kind of reckless abandon out of those who under its penance.

"Jecht," he says aloud, reproachfully.

Jecht shrugs. "You might like it if you try it," he suggests, tossing the ball up in the air and catching it. He's still grinning. "Wanna give it a try?"

No, he thinks, of course not. But his hands aren't obeying because he's stripping off his armlet and his sword, shrugging out of his red coat. Before he's even really realized that he's given in, again, he's standing in the waters himself, facing Jecht. "Well?" he asks himself, crossing his arms. "What do I do now?"

"You could at least look like you want to," Jecht advises with another toss of the ball. Auron's watching its arc through the air, so he almost misses that Jecht follows it up with a great leap. "And you can think fast!"

Jecht sends the ball racing toward him and Auron lifts his arms by instinct, ready to block the ball. But he never gets a chance because something hard and heavy connects with him -- Jecht -- sending them down under the water with a great splash. Despite the bright sun of the day, under the waves is cool and dim, the sun a far off shimmer. But Auron can barely register any of that because Jecht's still wrapped around him and Auron can't tell if his jerky movements are to get to air or to get away from Jecht's strong, sure hold.

Auron feels something cold but solid touch his face and he opens his eyes to see that it's Jecht, watching him with an intense gaze, dark eyes sad in a way that is usually too fleeting to register. Auron doesn't know why but he grips Jecht's shoulders and Jecht must take it for some kind of sign because then Jecht's lips are on his, rough and wet, followed by the scratch of beard against Auron's shaven cheek.

Auron doesn't pull away; he doesn't let go, either, but he holds still for just a second, long enough for Jecht to pull away and give him a look. It's an expressive look, one that asks a question. Auron would take a deep breath if he weren't under the water, but he contents himself with the thought of a bracing breath before he surges forward and kisses back, holding on as Jecht kicks his legs and powers them to the surface.

They're still kissing as they come up, the bright sun blinding after the brief respite. When Auron hears the din of murmurs from the shore, he tries to pull away but Jecht doesn't let him get far.

"Not too bad," Jecht says, and that grin is there, but somehow Auron doesn't mind because it seems that he's missed all this time that it's for him. "But a little practice might be in order."

Auron pushes Jecht back beneath the water before he wades toward the shore, somehow both annoyed and delighted.

[BlitzKiss!] Tactical Retreat, FFV, Fariz/Butz, PG-13

[personal profile] fireeye 2013-02-08 06:59 am (UTC)(link)
Faris guts her opponent, then spins to catch him as he falls at her back, the rough handling tearing a strangled sound from his throat. By the time she straightens to heft him over her shoulder, the world has mercifully faded to dim shadow.

The pain ripples through his body. Butz is vaguely aware that they’re on the cave floor, vaguely aware the Faris is angry, or at least that she has already called him every epithet in the book, and then some. Vaguely aware that her arms are wrapped around his shoulders as raw magic courses through him, and very, very aware of that same excruciating magic shooting down every nerve.

Choking down a mouthful of his own blood, Butz tastes fresh air. He opens his eyes to bright, warm daylight streaming through the cavern, and has to squint to focus on the capricious pirate hunched over him. He licks at the dried cut in lips, and his eyebrows arc, quizzical.

“...y’love me...”

Faris snickers – a haggard, wheezing sound. Magery was not her strength, and she had too swiftly poured herself thin.

“How would ye know?” she asks, voice stronger than her laugh. Her arms tighten around his shoulders, and she rocks them both gently, not unlike the sea. “Ye have naught but wind ‘twixt yer ears.”

“Heard you.” His eyes drift closed again. A chuckle bubbles up from within his chest, mingling with a dry, rasping cough. “Said y’love me.”

“Y’be daft,” she scoffs. Her chin comes to rest against his shoulder. “Ye’re dyin’.” She nuzzles against his throat, mouth meeting his yet unsteady pulse. “Ye’re hearin’ things.”

“Fffh-” His first attempt at her name comes out as a hiss of air against his teeth, and he has to catch his breath before he can try again. “Faris?”

There’s a breath of air against his neck, warm and weary. “Aye, lad?”

A thin smile graces his lips as he blinks at the wavering summer sunlight on the cave ceiling, reflected from a deep wellspring. He reaches to pat her shoulder, and his hand comes to rest comfortably between her shoulders.

“Love you, too.”

FFXII:Balthier/Basch, "A Pirate's Duty", PG

[personal profile] genjyosgirl 2013-02-08 07:44 am (UTC)(link)
It had been more than two years since their paths crossed. Basch was occupied with carrying out his promise; as Judge Magister he worked tirelessly for his Lord. Balthier...well, Balthier was a Sky Pirate. His time was his own, and the sky his domain, but rarely did he bring his ship within the Empire’s reach.

Basch was in Dalmasca but rarely, and Balthier even less. The type of encounter the two desired was not easily achieved. Fortunately, both were patient men, and their passion the hotter for it.

So it was that the Strahl docked near Sochen Cave, and the information came to Basch’s ear. He did something a man of his age, reputation, and position would never condone - he played hooky. He left a message for Lord Larsa that urgent business carried him away for a few days. Telling his servants he was not to be disturbed, Basch set his armor aside, and donned traveling clothes. He carried a blade, of course, and some rations, but anything which might identify him was left within the Palace.

His informants had been correct. The Strahl was indeed docked outside the Cave Palace. Basch slipped aboard the ship, hoping to find Balthier inside, and alone. The Strahl was empty. Basch sat in the main cabin of the ship, waiting for the return of one or both of the pirates, praying they would be back within the day. In the late afternoon, tired of watching the timepiece on the wall, Basch slipped into a light doze.

He awoke to the sound of boots scraping the deck behind him. Reaching for his blade, he found the scabbard empty. He leapt from the chair, alert to any danger, but it was Balthier who stood behind him. The tall pirate tapped a naked sword blade against Basch’s rucksack.

“Well, well. I’m pleased to see you, if a little surprised,” he drawled. Setting the sword aside, he rifled through Basch’s bag of provisions. He glanced at Basch, then back into the bag. “The dinner you’ve provided does seem a bit unsatisfying, for the both of us.”

Basch uncurled his fists and stepped close to Balthier, snatching the bag from his hand. Balthier let the bag be taken, then ducked his head and kissed Basch full on the lips.

It was sweet with promise.

Balthier moved away just as Basch’s arms came around his neck. “Ah, ah, ah. Not just yet.”

“Hmph. Kisses are just another thing you always steal.” Basch folded his arms over his chest, and leaned against the back of the chair he had slept in.

“I admit, I did steal center stage that time in Lemurés.”

Basch shook his head slowly.

“I am a pirate, after all,” Balthier said with an elegant shrug.

“You do have quite a reputation.” Basch agreed, a smile slowly creeping onto his face.

“I’ve missed that rare smile of yours, fon Ronsenburg.” Taking Basch’s hand, Balthier led the taller man to his cabin. He continued, “Theft is as integral to my person as that disreputable facial scruff is to yours.”

Basch managed ‘dignified offended’ better than any common born man had a right to. “The beard started as a way to make myself look older. I keep it now because it distinguishes me from my brother.”

“Under the Judges’ helmet, what purpose does that small rebellion serve?” Balthier asked, too sharply. “Ashe knows the truth, even if your Lord does not.”

“He knows, and it does not fret him to keep my secret. He knew us both, and Larsa feels he is better protected by kindness than cruelty,” Basch’s tone chided Balthier. “My rebellion also serves to irk you, apparently.”

Balthier chuckled. “Forgive me. This time of reunion is too short to waste in argument.” He slid his arms around Basch, gray-blue eyes looking into brown. “In fact, the time is too short for either of us to be wearing so much clothing.”

“Fran?” Basch asked, as Balthier’s ringed fingers slipped under his tunic.

“We both knew who would be on board when we arrived. She elected to find lodgings in the Cave for the evening.” Balthier smiled. “Now if you’ll forgive me, Judge Magister, I wish to return to my pirate’s duty - the stealing of your virtue.”

Basch raised his scarred eyebrow. “Just my virtue?”

“Well,” Balthier said in a low voice, “Your heart already belongs to me, does it not?”

Basch spoke his affirmative with a kiss that sparked their flame long into the night.
