RULES

This year, we're creating Master Links for each fandom. When leaving prompts, please put it under the right canon! If in a compilation canon, please leave the important details!

To leave a prompt: leave one prompt per comment, with FANDOM: CHARACTERS/RELATIONSHIP in the subject line and your prompt in the body.

To leave a fill: reply to the comment in question. Please use the subject line of your comment to label your work: TITLE (if relevant), FANDOM, CHARACTERS/RELATIONSHIP, RATING (ANY KINKS, WARNINGS, FLAGS).

There should be kissing! All kinds of kisses are welcome: gen, shippy, smutty, chaste, familial, friendly, angry, happy! We’re pretty open to anything you want to call kissing. We are fans of all of it.

Fanart, fanfiction, drabbles, doodles, live action movies -- whatever you want to supply, we’d like to have it.

Be kind to others regarding character or ship choices and prompts. This should be fun for everyone!

Prompt early, prompt often, and leave as many as you want.

Prompts can be filled multiple times!

FINAL FANTASY KISS BATTLE 2013

We will be running the Kissing Battle on Dreamwidth only. There are two main reasons for this: 1) Dreamwidth’s comment limit is huge, allowing for longer kissing masterpieces; and 2) Dreamwidth still supports subject lines for comments, which are vital to a meme like the Kiss Battle. However, the Battle is open to everyone. Feel free to participate with your Dreamwidth (account creation is invite-free right now~!), your Livejournal or other OpenID account (see here if you want to set up an OpenID), or anonymously.

"Melt"

It's cold. Fiends be damned, Ulren has never been more cold. He glares at the harsh stalactites and stalagmites closing in on them like teeth. "I hate this place."

Bloody Levistone had better be worth it. The furs he's wrapped in aren't doing anything to stop his shivering. Underneath, his white robes are still damp, chilling him to the bone. Even Gaul has put on a couple layers of furs, and the monk would fight in his smallclothes if propriety permitted it.

Almya glances over at him, trying not to look amused. "Well, you shouldn't have fallen out of the canoe."

"Oh, yes," he snarls back. "That's precisely it. I should have asked the Ochu to kindly refrain from dragging me into the water."

And Almya, as unflappable as ever, just says, "If you never ask, how will you know?"

It's too cold to pull his hair out, so Ulren tells her to shut up, instead. Almya shrugs one shoulder and keeps marching, catching up with Gaul. Ulren shuffles along, muttering to himself for gods know how long before he realizes their red mage is keeping pace with him.

"I could set something on fire," Clef offers quietly. "Do you want me to set something on fire?"

It's tempting, but wanton destruction might send the entire cavern crashing down on them. "I'll be fine. You can set some beasts on fire, and I'll reap the benefits."

"But you're shivering." He can barely feel Clef's grip on his arm through the layers of clothing. "I could ... warm you?"

Ulren shakes his head. "Save your strength; who knows what lurks in this block of ice?" He snorts. "I can't believe I'm beginning to miss the volcano."

"Oh," Clef says. His voice is shaky enough that Ulren looks over, concerned. Clef's hand releases him, curling into a white fist. The brim of his hat hides his face. "I mean -- um, I meant, I wanted--"

And it's new, this thing between them. New enough that they are still making mistakes like this. "Oh," he says, breath puffing from his mouth. "Oh." He moves, dipping under Clef's hat and drawing his head up to kiss him. Their lips are frozen, but the idea that he's given Clef an inadvertent rejection leaves him colder than the Ice Cavern ever could.

"When we get out of here," Ulren says, worrying at Clef's bottom lip, "you can warm me all you like."

"I'd like that," Clef replies, shyly. It's adorable; he calls down lightning from the sky one moment and hides in his hat the next.

"In the meantime, though..." Ulren reaches out and steals said hat, pulling it down over his frozen ears before hiking his hood up.

Clef grins and gives a rueful shake of his head. "Let's go find the Levistone."

Oh, man, these two always get me, and this really gets me. I AM ALL FEELINGS NOW. ;_;

"Are you sure?" Daryl calls, goading and cocksure. When Setzer turns back to look, she's standing at the bottom of the plank, one hand planted on a well-defined hip. "You could still recoup your losses."

Setzer grins at her. "I can't; there's nothing left to bet with. You cleaned me out, my lady. No easy feat." He hopes he sees her around Jidoor again -- to win back his coin, and perhaps dinner with her.

Daryl lifts her free hand and gestures at the Blackjack. "You're standing on something to bet with."

And Setzer throws his head back and laughs heartily. "You're joking." He doesn't bring in the plank just yet. He folds his arms on the railing and looks down at this feisty vixen.

"I'm not," Daryl says. "She'd be better off in the hands of a real pilot, anyway."

He almost laughs again at the absurdity of the claim, but doesn't want to offend her. "And where is your ship, my lady?"

"Being built," Daryl says without hesitation. She hefts her coinpurse, heavy with Setzer's gil. "With your money."

He grins; he likes this woman. "Then you don't need my ship. I do, however." He drops a kiss to the polished railing. "I'm quite attached to her."

Now Daryl laughs. "So I see. Very well, I'll spare you the loss of your one true love."

"Most kind."

"But watch the skies, Gabbiani. You'll have competition soon enough."

"I hope so," Setzer says. He watches Daryl walk back into town, and rubs his hands along the Blackjack's railing. "I hope so."

This is so lovely and bittersweet!
