I also love the idea of the espers and Terra as proud and fierce and alien, so I'm definitely happy that came through here, and Terra becoming a summon after her human half dies is exactly what I was going for. It's a headcanon I've had for a while, and with Terra's history, I suspect she would not be happy to be used as a weapon the way summons usually are. Add to that the fact that Terra and Garnet both had storylines that were very much about self-discovery and being used as weapons before coming into their own strength, and I thought it would be interesting if they ever met as summon and summoner.
