And in the meantime, have a snippet of headcanon about Ashe and Vayne, which I only just realized today, thanks to this comment of yours: all the things that are unsaid inbetween their words... but the passion underneath ... and I went, "Oh, that explains why Vayne keeps flirting at her (in later parts)"--- because he is a victim of his environmentally conditioned responses: he is so, so used to people smiling in his face while whetting the knives for his back that when she, literally, spits in his face at the first sight of him while going for her sword, he is just so used to people who don't show their actual feelings that somewhere at an unconscious level he assumes she's, ah, more kindly disposed to him than she's acting, because of course she wouldn't be so blatantly hostile if she expected to do anything about it, right? Oh, Vayne, bb, hoist on your own petard. *pets*
