RULES

There should be kissing! All kinds of kisses are welcome: gen, shippy, smutty, chaste, familial, friendly, angry, happy! We’re pretty open to anything you want to call kissing. We are fans of all of it.

Fanart, fanfiction, drabbles, doodles, live action movies -- whatever you want to supply, we’d like to have it.

Be kind to others regarding character or ship choices and prompts. This should be fun for everyone!

FINAL FANTASY KISS BATTLE 2014

We will be running the Kissing Battle on Dreamwidth only. There are two main reasons for this: 1) Dreamwidth’s comment limit is huge, allowing for longer kissing masterpieces; and 2) Dreamwidth still supports subject lines for comments, which are vital to a meme like the Kiss Battle. However, the Battle is open to everyone. Feel free to participate with your Dreamwidth (account creation is invite-free right now~!), your Livejournal or other OpenID account (see here if you want to set up an OpenID), or anonymously.

Whoa, this is beautiful and sad, and I love, love, love the idea of Lakshmi using the last of her strength teaching Relm how to heal a mind.

Neither the ruffled shirt – open to his navel – nor the impressively tight leather pants left much to the imagination as the pirate captain flopped himself down, draping sidelong across a wide throne piled in furs. He winced and shifted the dagger strapped to his thigh so that its pommel wasn’t jamming into his groin, and the first mate – at her elbow – rolled his eyes. Even the chocobo behind the throne managed to look embarrassed on his behalf.

“So...” his gaze swept Sarisa up and down, and he licked his lips, “You want to commandeer my ship?”

Sarisa smiled wolfishly; a well-schooled expression that had served her well in many a tavern across the land. “That’s the idea.”

“You don’t look much like a prince.”

“And you don’t much fit my idea of a pirate,” she replied, arching an eyebrow. “But here we are.”

“Yes,” Captain Butz agreed. “Here we are.”

He leapt to his feet and paced the dais. “My ship is at your command, if,” he scuffed to a stop and raised a finger, squaring off before her, “And only if, your lordship would but grace me with a kiss.”

Beside her, the first mate threw up his arms with a scoff, and took his leave, with whatever dreams of treasure or ransom on his mind evaporating just as quickly.

Sarisa merely blinked. Shrugged under her layered clothes, she scratched at the strapping that laid flat against her shoulder.

“You, uh... do realize I’m not a man, right?”

Captain Butz nodded, before blinking rapidly as his brain processed that information. “No,” he finally said, vapid grin never slipping, “but I don’t care – your fair beauty has enchanted me, and I am but a helpless against such miraculous charms.”

“Right, so...” Sarisa delineated flatly, sidestepping the flattery, “I kiss you, I get your ship.”

“You get to use my ship,” the captain said. “I would be coming along of course, to make sure nothing untoward happens to her.”

Sarisa made a show of mulling over it, though it was a far sight easier than some bargains she’d made over the years. “Fair deal.”

Even as she finished speaking, Butz bounded off the dais to damn near sweep her off her feet. He dipped her dangerously off balance for the both of them, and stealing her breath away. He tasted of the salt of the ocean, and while she couldn’t speak for his seafaring skills, he wasn’t a terrible kisser, at least. All the same, she disentangled herself from him, and shook her head at the dreamy expression that had overtaken him as he stumbled back towards his throne.

“Right,” she said, unsure if he even heard her. “Now if you don’t mind holding up your end of the bargain? I have a planet to save.”

Thank you! I really liked the idea of Relm being able to break Strago out of it because of something she learned from the Esper and I'm glad it appeals to someone else. :)
