Interesting! A three-way, open relationship! This is how I can see it -- a promiscuous relationship cast in the best light. I had to suspend my disbelief to enjoy this.
I enjoyed the comparisons the most, between Tidus and Baralai and how much they mean to her. I'd even go as far as to Yuna deserves some slack for everything she's done for Spira, and she has the right bake the cake and eat it, too. I also like you weave together the details in such a way you make me ignore the fact this kind of complicated relationship won't last, that it's more so a competition of "who will snap first" than it is "who will win in the end," like it's a game of patience and superiority (because although I can see Tidus be a little more willing to attempt or want an open relationship, I can't imagine Baralai tolerating for long).
But anyway! I like Yuna's ending line, because it really resonates with her FFX-2 persona, a more silly and free spirit. However, I have to say, you've convinced me to believe Yuna and Baralai have a more meaningful "present" relationship than what she has (or used to have with Tidus) developed in her past relationship with Tidus.
But of course, you tease me with a cliffhanger. Thank you for this. :3
