Dear Lord! I never expected someone to actually fill my prompt, thank you so much! Disturbing indeed, but I knew what I was getting into when I asked for this pairing xD I very much enjoyed your story, the narration is exquisite and it has so many powerful metaphors.

I really like your characterisations, Madeline in particular. I like that she was an intelligent and educated young woman and Gestahl’s schemes stripped her not only of what she had, but what she was. (As he’ll later do with her daughter.) And Madeline’s father being Gestahl’s former associate is such an interesting concept! The first time I played the game I was expecting that Maddie would turn out to be someone from Gestahl’s past, either his daughter or an unrequited love, but the game fell short of my expectations, so I really love what you came up with here, something like this makes Maddie’s on-screen death even more dramatic and meaningful: Gestahl got his payback, and later Maddie’s own daughter would return him the favour.

I also love how and where you included the quote from the prompt, that was such an excellent touch ;)

Oh god, and that “sex” scene was bloodcurdling! I think you managed to keep Gestahl in character even through this one. He’s impatient and demanding and at the very bottom only cares about power and control, not about satisfying his primal urges, which was perfectly conveyed here, though poor Maddie had to suffer through Gestahl’s failed display of dominance. And I can see Gestahl sort of compensating for this failure with his later actions.

The ending was perfect, and I love how it ties in with the game’s main storyline. Absolutely fantastic!
