"Uh, kiss you?" Luneth looks like she suggested that perhaps they should go back and have tea with the Cloud of Darkness.

"Why not?" she says, logically enough. "I'm curious. Aren't you?"

"Well, I guess, I just..." He rubs the back of his neck and she thinks he might actually be blushing. "I'm, uh, not quite sure how to say this."

She'd presented it as curiosity because she thought it would intimidate him less; now she gets a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach and wonders if maybe he was more into Arc. She's about to tell him never mind, when he carefully places his hands on either side of her face. His skin is warm against hers, and she can feel the calluses of his favoured daggers catching against her hair. She doesn't mind.

"Not just because I'm curious," he tells her, and leans in to kiss her.

They bump noses, which makes her laugh, and it's more of a damp mashing together than she expected given what she's overheard, but it's still nice - warm and tingly and it makes her feel a little bit fluttery.

She opens her eyes--when did she close them?--and sees him looking at her more seriously than she'd expected.

"Not just because I was curious, either," she admits.

He smiles, and kisses her again.
