Oh wow, I love how this manages to be so grotesque, and yet hopeful (in a macabre sense) at the same time. I've always been intrigued by the potential for extreme body horror in the mechanics of the Esper-human bond, the draining of Esper power, and the logistics of those oft-mentioned "magic infusions". I really love how you wrote this on the border of that horror!!
