Doink! Final Fantasy Exchange is proud to be a multimedia exchange for the Final Fantasy fandoms, and recognizes that as a multimedia exchange, longevity of multimedia gifts is an issue for many creators who do not have long-term hosting options. Therefore, we are happy to offer to host your files for you. Please read the guidelines below to upload your .gif, .jpg, or .png image files that are under 5MB.

If your image is larger than 5MB or you need to upload other file types, such as video or music files, you will need to e-mail the moderators to work out uploading procedures. We are sorry for the inconvience and hope to improve this feature for future rounds. Please don't let this deter you from asking for file hosting; we are happy to help.

Uploading Images

Browse to Upload an Image.

1. There are two fields: AO3 username and e-mail. If you are an exchange participant, please use the AO3 username/e-mail combination you signed up with. If you are not an exchange participant, please use the AO3 username you plan to post under.


2. Click "Browse" and find your image.


3. Hit "upload". The form should upload your image, prefixed with your AO3 username: USERNAME_filename.


4. A copy of the link will be e-mailed to you for your records.


5. You can then use this URL to post your image on AO3 by embedding it with HTML as you would elsewhere: <img src="FILE-LOCATION" alt="ALT TEXT" /> Do feel free to create a thumbnail image if you would like! You can host the thumbnail with us in the same way :)
   

The form only allows three types of images: .gif, .jpg, or .png image files. All files must be under 5MB. If you attempt to upload any other file types, it will prompt you to try again. If the file type is correct but the form is still throwing an error, please e-mail us so we can help you troubleshoot. :)
