[because apparently I needed to write something about a long-distance relationship today)
There's always a place in front of the fire for him, when he's passing by Mobliz and needs a place to rest.
It's a hint of the quiet life he'd never had - Terra sitting next to him, warm and laughing as her children play, talking late into the night as the fire died down and the older children put the younger ones to sleep. There was always so much to say, for both of them, so many new things that both of them were discovering, now that they had the chance to explore their new worlds without being afraid.
When Terra wakes him in the morning and kisses him good-bye, he always wonders if maybe he should stay that time, give up treasure hunting and settle down. He hasn't yet - there's still a lot out there to find - but he thinks that maybe he will, soon.
